Mr. Anil Kumar


Anil Kumar was born at Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. In earlier years during graduation he studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English and Hindi. He completed his Master’s Degree in English from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He taught English language and literature-in-English to the undergraduate students at Government College for Men, Sector-11, Chandigarh University. He also holds an M.A in Linguistics from the University of Delhi. He has qualified UGC-JRF in two subjects including English and Linguistics. His areas of interest are: second language acquisition, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics and postcolonial literature. In the years 2013-2015 he  worked on an innovation project of Delhi University on Weavers’ Poetry and is currently working on an another innovation project of Delhi University on the impact of introduction of English language from first class in Himachal Pradesh. He had also been involved in a project titled “Exploring Traditional Knowledge: Language and Culture in Meghalaya” under Gyanodaya-V Project. He has one book and six research articles in various journals to his credit.
