Ms. Sangeeta Sharma


Ms Sangeeta Sharma is Assistant Professor in the English Department since July 2006 as a permanent faculty member. After graduation in English (Hons.) from Sri Venketeswara College (University of Delhi), she qualified her post-graduation in English and M.Phil course works from Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi) with prime focus on Literary Theory, Post colonial literature and Translation and Comparative Studies; and had worked on Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children  and idea of post coloniality as part of dissertation under UGC's NET for Junior Research Fellowship and lectureship. A PG Diploma in Public Relations gives her an edge in teaching the subject of Business Communication which is an integral part of courses offered at University of Delhi.  She has also done Film appreciation course conducted by National Film Archives of India, Cinemaya & French Embassy along with a course in the same field conducted by Sarai - CSDS at Rajpur Road, University of Delhi.   A Refresher Course under ASC- CPDHE (University of Delhi) with main focus on Social Enquiry - provides her an advantage to deal with multifarious areas of studies. 
She has been College Magazine Neelambara's Editor (English), English Literary Society's Incharge (current as well) and Students Union's Co-Advisor (current as well), and on other committees a number of times and have been contributing to the same consistently.
